Welcome back to Home of the Week! This week, I'm featuring this darling home on the NW side of Cedar Rapids. The exterior immediately catches your attention with it's perfect shade of blue. I love how the white trim beautifully accents the deep turquoise siding to create a happy and inviting entrance. Speaking of happy and inviting- don't you love the window boxes that were added to the 3-seasons room? A new roof along with new furnace, lighting, plumbing, kitchen appliances and new or updated electrical are a few of the many fresh touches throughout the house. Let's take a look inside!

The spacious 3-seasons room greets you with refurbished hardwood floors, new lighting and the continuation of white and blue accents. What a perfect spot to add a touch of your personality to. A few plants and some cozy seating would make this the hotspot for hosting.

From the 3-seasons room, you'll walk into the living room which features beautiful, refurbished wood flooring. Fresh paint and new fixtures were added to this room along with the rest of the home.

The dining room is just through the unique archway and the kitchen is on the other side of that.

Updates galore! New appliances, counters, lighting, and extra cabinets (to match the originals) were added to this bright space. I love the breakfast nook tucked into the corner. A perfect spot to bask in the sun and enjoy a snack.

The beautifully updated jack-and-jill bathroom is the perfect space to unite the two first-floor bedrooms.

Upstairs you'll discover a cheery additional bedroom that features a bonus attached room. Let's take a peek below-

Take a few steps through the main room and a bedroom sits in the back. There are so many possibilities for this large space. The main room could be a playroom or cozy lounging area while the back is a bedroom OR the main room could be the bedroom and the back room could be a playroom or large closet.

A quick look into the back room shows off the beautiful wood floors that match the rest of the home.

The fenced in back patio is perfectly shaded by the beautiful tree in the corner. Landscaping is added to this space and around the rest of the home. I would absolutely add twinkle lights, cozy furniture and a few potted plants to really make this space pop. What a great spot to host or enjoy a minute of relaxation.

This home has such a fun layout with plenty of original highlights to keep it unique. Check out the links at the top of the page to view more images or to get in contact with the listing agents, the Raesides, who can give you a tour!
